海外メディアVRFocusは、2017年2月14日の記事において、第8回 annual Lumiere Awardsの受賞作品を報じた。
同メディアによれば、2017年2月13日、第8回 annual Lumiere Awardsの受賞作品が発表された。
同賞は先進画像協会(Advanced Imaging Society)とVR協会(VR Society)が開催しているもので、VRコンテンツを含めた動画コンテンツを審査対象としている。
発表された受賞作品のなかには、「Google Earth VR」「Tilt Brush」といった有名VRコンテンツが含まれている。また、VIVE事業に携わったCher Wang女史には、VIVEを普及させるという実験的かつ例外的な活動を讃えてSir Charles Wheatstone賞が贈られた。
